I have purchased two of these, one for my daughter and one for myself. My daughter's quit dispensing water & soap after using it only one time. Mine quit after using it approximately six times. Bissells response? Take it to a service center (they are both out of warranty). The closest service center is 65 miles away. I had a Hoover deep cleaner for 12 years before I bought these. I would rather pay to have that one repaired then give one more penny to Bissell. I will definitely NEVER waste money on another of their products.

I bought the machine roughly a month ago from a local big box and have never been so pleased. It's easy to use, lightweight (relatively), and works great on both carpet and in the car. I would recommend this machine to anyone!

I had the same problem sound everyone else on here with one star had. Worked great for the first year and then right after the one year expiration this POS quit working. The water doesn't come out anymore which sounds like a pump problem (from what I have read on-line). Don't buy this POS unless you want to be buying another one in a year!!

This works, and I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars for the following reasons:
1. It's heavy and I dread taking it upstairs
2. To get the full benefit of the cleaning, you need to go slow, so it takes awhile to do a large area
3. You have to store it somewhere
The water you dump is filthy, even when you think your carpets aren't that dirty, so it is cleaning.
My "professional carpet cleaner" that I hire every once in awhile comments that my carpets are well maintained, and he said that carpet cleaners that extract the water that they put in are pretty good cleaners. I use the Bissell Spot Bot thing for spills, pet accidents, etc, but this is good for big areas. I still do a professional clean ever so often, or if I don't have time to use this (like prior to holidays and I want it done by someone else) but this is very good to do on your own if you have the time and patience.
It does spit out hair balls, but you just pick those up and toss them in the trash. It is pretty gross, but that is what is coming out of your carpet. The tank and bladder are easy to fill and empty.
I am going to try and attach a photo of a high traffic area and the clean strip that the machine left after using it.

Machine worked on carpet quite well. Had to keep filling tank often. Cleaning up after not too difficult. Overall worth the purchase.....as long as it stays "healthy".
